Emergency Brake Sticking???

Anybody had problems with their emergency brakes sticking? Twice in the last week.....I got in the truck, let off the EB, and put the truck in gear. No movement. I had to give it a little gas to get it to move. I heard a loud popping noise and then it broke free. Not feeling anything weird while on the road really. Any suggestions?

Yup....felt like it broke, but it still works. I'm just hoping that it is definitely the EB and not something more serious like an axle, wheel, or gear problem.

If you are in cold wet weather, it can freeze up. After it happened to my wife a couple times, we stopped using the EB in the winter

Happens to me all the time. Your best bet is to not use it and every time you get in just engage and disengage to keep it from freezing too heavily.
