If you lower it to the pressure you want the light will be on ... just gonna have to break out the black tape

No, it is determined by the type and load range of the tires on the vehicle. The light should not come on unless it is below a threshold for that particular LR tire and vehicle. If he is running the tires at a lower pressure than what is safe for that tire (not talking about recommended pressure) then there is a good possibility of tire damage and blowout/tread separation on the tires at highway speeds.

do you mean you want to change the PSI point at which the computer thinks your tires are too low?

I don't think there is a way to lower the psi that the computer is set to trigger the light. I'm not sure what PSI the SD's are set at. Just lower the pressure and see when the light is triggered. I think you will be surprised how low you can go without triggering the TPMS light.

most vehicles have a tolerance based on the recommended specs, sometimes its as much as 10PSI lower then recommended before the light sets.

As for overriding the computer you could always make a TPMS bomb

Those pipe set ups don't really work. Ford sensors are in battery save mode (sleep) when not in motion. It takes at least 2 minutes of driving at 20 mph or more to wake them up.

Could you switch out the sensors from a different vehicle like and F-150 that runs at 35 PSI?
Just thinking?
