Mazzi Hulk's pitting?

Hey guys I was looking through some threads and someone said that Mazzi Hulks are prone to pitting? Of course I just sold my 20" 951 on 35's for 22" Mazzi Hulks on 37's.....I won't be using them in the snow and I always clean my rims.....Is it just poor quality chrome? I need to look into their warranty and hopefully I am lucky enough not to have this happen to me....just over worrying about it...

just pulled this from their website..

Chrome plated aluminum wheels have a three year plating warranty covering lifting and peeling of the plated finish, absent abuse or failure to maintain said finish. Pitting is a direct result of improper maintenance and is not covered by this warranty.

How does pitting occur anyways?

My knowledge of pitting is from not keeping them properly waxed and sealed. If you don't protect the chrome, containment like salt, will eat at that finish and corrode it. Hence the pitting.

i bought my set used from a member on here last year. he said he ran them for 3 years. there was some pitting on there already

then i ran them for 5 months (spring-summer), cleaned them about every week or every other week and it didnt seem to get worse.

honestly, i cant wait for mine to pit so i can powder coat them, they are still in too nice condition to powder coat
