Hummer Tires on F-150 Wheels
Hummer Tires on F-150 Wheels
So I'm kind of new to this site but I'll do the best I can.
Currently I have a 2006 F-150 XLT with a 2" front level, stock tires (255/70/17)and wheels. I want to go bigger. Ideally I want to upgrade to 33" tires, which I know will clear with a 2" level but my financial situation doesn't really warrant spending about $800 on the 29570R17's I want right now.
My father is getting rid of his 2003 Hummer H2 and he has an extra complete set of tires he will give me. They are in good condition. They're LT31570R17.
My question is will the Hummer Tires fit on the F-150 Wheels?? I'm concerned about width, etc. I don't know much about tires...but the numbers correlate.
I know I'd have to upgrade to a 3" leveling kit and 1" add a leaf in the back but that would still be much cheaper than buying new tires.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

If you stay with the stock rims then the tires will fit with the 2" level kit. You may have some rubbing at full lock or in reverse but a TON of people on here have that setup. Im sure one of them will chime in pretty soon.. or you can search it and find your answer quite easily

Thanks for the quick responses. Yeah my buddy has 35's with a 2.5" level and he has almost no rubbing.
So the tire will definately fit on my F-150 wheel? The Hummer tire just seems much wider.

I talked to him today actually, he has 35's, 315/70/17 and he does have rubbing at full lock but said it's not a big deal.
I'm definately going to do it as soon as possible. I'll post pics. Thanks for the advice fellas.

Hummer Wheels/Tires on F-150??
I was just looking it up and it appears the stock Hummer H2 rim is 17X8.5. My rim/wheel is 17X7.5. I think that H2 tire is going to be too wide to put on my stock F-150 17" wheels.
Is there any way to possibly use the H2 wheels also? The problem is that it's got 8 lugs and the F-150 has 6 lugs. Is there any way to modify the truck without spending a bunch of money... because I have these 35" tires and wheels for free, I just need to find a way to mount them to my F-150 if possible.
Any help would be great.

Yes, a 315/70-17 will fit on the OEM 17x7.5 inch wheels, but it is pushing it as most manufacturers recommend at least an 8 inch wide wheel for a 315mm (12.50 inch) wide tire. Just keep an eye on your air pressure. Sometimes running a tire on narrower than recommended wheel can cause the center portion of the tread to wear slightly faster than normal.
