Best way to fix rubbing
I did a quick search but no titles looked like what I am after.
I recently bought MT classic lock wheels and 285/70/R17 Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac tires. They rub slightly, it doesn't even have to be at full lock. Should I crank up the torsion bars or trim that plastic channel inside the wheel well? I don't want a leveling kit and don't need one - my last tires (285/55/R20) didn't rub..
Truck is an 05 lariat 4x4.

well first you need to see what the tires are rubbing on, usually it's the front plastic valence and it can be trimmed a little to fix it. the reason that you are rubbing with the new wheels and tires is that the backspacing is different on the new wheels. oh and also you do not have torsion bars.
HAHAHA. Every truck I have ever had has had torsion bars. This is my first ford - no torsion bars and no under hood light, nice. That's good to know, thanks. I was going to look before I posted the question but it was raining outside. Anyway it's rubbing on the part of the fender flare that is inside the back of the wheel well. Does that make any sense?
