Nitto Mud Grappler
Where'd he get his from? That's a good price for them
I know what you mean about the new ones also I'm just torn at the moment. Plus another factor is the used ones are smaller than the size I would get new. 33x12.50 vs 35x12.50. And I'll need to do gears very soon after doing 35's otherwise I won't be able to drive more than around town and I'll get horrid mileage
well I'm pretty sire the asking price is 300 for the tires yet that number may be wrong due to a communication error that I'm waiting on clarification from. For all intensive purposes let's say they are asking 300. Does that sound worth it or what would be a good counter offer for the set.
Problem is I have no experience with the nittos and how they wear like I do with the bfg's

That price doesn't seem to bad depending on how bad they are worn down i wouldn't buy them until i saw them in person.
Also what gears are u running because most people don't regear until they get to about a 37.
And he got the tires from a local shop i always find it cheaper to go to local shops for tires.
And if it were me i would go ahead and go with the new tire in a 35 because you may regret it after you get the 33's

Yea I know that one. I have to see everything before I buy it.
I wont really regret it if I get 33's since that's what I already have. These would just be since the wheels are bigger. Also spending them used now and running them for a while till I can regear and spend 1400 on new ones.
That's the thing. I have the 4.2 and 3.08 gears now. I do fine on 33"s but I just have a huge feeling that 35"s will kill it with that gear ratio. Plan on going to 4.56

well heres the thing. its about buying new wheels. the wheels are 18x9 and i have stock 16's now. so ill need to get tires for that size wheel.
the asking price on the tires is 500.
so this may not even pan out now but im just looking for some new wheels in black for a reasonable price (100 a wheel or less)
i might have time get some 35's on 16's put on my truck and drive around for a day to see how bad it is first so i can gauge

ok heres how it goes. ive been wanting new wheels. my current tires are running low on tread (1 little worse).
found set of 18"s for 400 obo with 33x12.50 mud graps for 500 obo. i want the wheels and will need new tires for them.
then it gets complicated. i dont really want mud graps due to the crappy reviews i heard/read about the wear (ie dont wanna spend 500 on a set of tires to only get 15k on them). if i get them then its fine im done for a while till i can get new ones with gears.
but if i get new tires i will go 35x12.50 and would (pretty sure) NEED gear swap very soon after.
things just pile up on here. (my other option is a set of mickey thompson classic 2's in 16" alloy which id paint black and then keep current tires for a while till i had enough for both gears and new tires)

thejake, how long would it take you to save up for gears and tires(35s). because you could get the wheels you like and instead of mud grapps just get some used street tires untill you save for gears and 35s, unless it would take awile to get the money.
i plan on using it both on and offroad. nothing serious off road just messing around hence the change in size wont affect much in that respect.
