Need help 35

I have a 2006 f150 supercrew. It's 4x4 with a 5.4 and 3.73. I was going to get 295/70/17 tires but I found a great deal on 315/70/17 bfg ako's. Will they rub with a bilstein 5100 leveling kit? I'm also worried about power loss and gas mileage. What can I expect? Also I tow a car trailer about 3 times a year. And put about 800 lbs. In the bed alot. Will this be a problem? Thanks

I have 3.55's in mine, and going from 285/70s to 35s12.50s killed the power and gas mileage, adding a tuner helped. I am sure gears would bring this thing back in a big way...

I regularly haul about as much as you do, but mind you, where I live is FLAT...

I have no clue about your Bilisteins. I have an Autospring 2.5" kit.
I also have aftermarket 17x9" wheels with 4.75" backspacing, and they rub a little bit. Trimming fixed that.

[IMG][/IMG]I put 285-75-17 Toyo MT's on 17x8 Centerline Turbines with 4.5" of BS on my 07 FX4. They don't rub at all and I have the Bilstein 5100's on the truck. These tires end up being a tad over 34" tall. But with the forged wheel which is much lighter than a cast wheel but stronger, and the tires being about 11.5" wide instead of 12.5, they look good. You will loose some MPG but it's the price you pay for the look. Just depends how bad you want them.

5.4 and 3.73 - you will be fine. Go for it, the BFG KO's are great tires too.

You will lose some performance and gas mileage. Maybe 1 to 2 mpg mostly in city driving. A programmer will definetly help also. I ran 315x70x17 BFG AT's for over 43k miles with no problem's as long as you keep them on stock wheel's or one's with close to stock specs. 17x8 with 5 1/2" backspacing work's great. You will need a 2 or 2 1/2" leveling kit to clear these in the front or the Bilstein's set at 2 inches. This is what they looked like on 17x8 wheel's.

I'm just worried about the rear rubbing when I have a load in the bed or a heavy trailer on it. What do u think?

In your case, I'd be more worried about performance. Maybe a 34 or 33 inch tire would be better. The 04-08 owners would be able to tell you about towing/hauling performance with 35's better than me.
