I screwed up! Will 17" fit on my f150
I screwed up! Will 17" fit on my f150
I have a 99 F150 4x2 no lift. I currently have 265/70/16 on it. I got a great deal on some 265/70/17. Such a good deal my brain forgot I needed 16's.....
Will 17's fit? If I can find some 5 lug wheels do they need a particular offset or just the lug pattern?
Thanks Guys

Well, the new tires are going to be exactly 1" in diameter larger because of the wheel size.
Now the primary concern are they 5 lug OBS F150 rims or are they 6 lug NBS rims? Because the stock rim for the NBS F150 trucks are 17" with six lugs.
As far as fitting, but if they are indeed 17" rims with the traditional 5 lug pattern, you will be close in fitting them in there.

You will have no problem fitting them if you can find some rims for them. They will be the same height as the tires you have on there. If you go to any tire companys web site and look at the tire sizes you are asking about you will see that they are the same.
here is a link to a site to show you the dif in the tires

You need a set of wheels with your 5x135mm bolt pattern. You can use a set of OEM 17x7.5 inch wheels (with 4.5 inches of BS) or a set of aftermarket 17x8's with 4.5 inches of BS.

I agree chris t. unless you are looking for new wheels, prob be better off to take the loss and go get some 16s. You can prolly still sell the tires and get your money back if it was such a good deal.
