Arrow Alright..

I've got a dilemma, and I don't have a problem saying that I'm a greenhorn when it comes to wheel spacing and bolt patterns.
Here's the deal: I bought an '05 XLT 2wd last year end of September, and it had Roush Wheels (the 20's w/ 6 on 135 pattern) already installed. I like the look, but brake dust is a pain in my ***. I hate cleaning them twice a week to keep them shiny, so I'd rather havve some easier wheels to maintain. I need opinions.
I thought maybe I could sell the things. So, I looked on eBay and they fetch a good price I think. I believe i will sell them, so now..which wheels should I buy?
I definitely want a smaller rim, 17 or 18 inch optimally. I know nothing about backspacing, except that in my opinion, these Roush wheels stick out a little toofar, so I would like something a little narrower? I guess?

Please please..give me some advice and possibly your own personal opinions.

Thanks a ton,
Will

Changing wheel will not solve your brake dust problem! Changing the brake pads will! The stcok pads are notorious for making dust. I highly recommend Wagner Thermoquiets. They produce almost no dust. I can go weeks without cleaning mine if need be. Cost you about $70 for a set and it is easy to do yourself. Bluejay has the Roush wheels and the Wagners and has no dust problems. Hopefully he will see the post and chime in as well.

I agree. Any ceramic pad will make a huge difference.

I've used the Thermo Quiets for years. What a difference they make! You won't believe it.

I changed my pads at 11,000 miles to get rid of the dust problem. 80,000 miles later, still no dust. About the longest I have gone between washes is 3 weeks. There was road dirt, but no brake dust. BTW, please don't get rid of the Roushes. My favorite wheel on these trucks.

Another vote here to keep the wheels and change the pads. I can't give you recommendations on wheels because, as my album pics show, I like em wide.
