tire model and size help
Hello, I am in serious need of new tires and would like some opinions. I have a 2003 F150 Supercrew 4x4 with stock 17 inch rims. I have blocks in the back and my torsion bars are cranked. I currently have 265/70/17 General Grabber AT2's.
I would like to replace these with possibly a 285 AT tire. I want to go a little bigger without spending ridiculous money on tires. I do like the General Grabbers but it looks like thats the biggest size they make for my rims except for 35's.
I live in New Hampshire so I need something good in the winter especially because I like to play in the deep snow. I also off road occasionally and like to push the limits on my truck. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I have heard good things about Kumho Road Venture ATs and the price seems to be good on those. Does anyone have any experience? Other suggestions? Thanks everyone for the help!

Before I had the Generals, I had Nitto Terra Grapplers. I did like them for awhile, but after they wore down a bit, they had no traction on wet roads at all and they became very noisy. Maybe I just had bad luck with them but I would like to try something else. Thank you for the suggestion though
Terra Grapplers are extremely quiet for an AT. If they became cupped out, that would explain the noise. There used to be an F-150 with a cheap set of AT's that drove by my house daily. His tires for cupped out so bad they sounded like a set of Super Swampers.
