Wheels getting very hot.

Hello,
I have a set of 22" wheels/tires that get really hot after driving for a while. Not 100 miles, but not 5 miles. The wheels may be aluminum with chrome on them or maybe steel, Im not sure. My question is, does everyones wheels get hot after driving for a normal distance at normal speeds? Or am I having some sort of brake problem up front?

Thanks,
Devildog101

when you use your brakes it causes friction which causes heat that heat is transferred to the wheels that come in direct contact with your brake rotor... aluminum will get hotter faster than steel..

as long as both sides are equally hot i wouldnt worry too much about it. And yes wheels get hot with normal driving, thats why they tell you to set your tire pressures on a cold tire

Excessive heat may be due to your hubs going bad, but your breaks alone will cause them to get pretty warm.
