Toyo AT's back on.

I've been having a set of 285x70x17 (33x11.5) Toyo AT's in my garage for over 2 1/2 yrs and finally put them back on last week. Put close to 700 miles in a week and yesterday found out one would not balance out so I had them put it in the rear. Much better then having a shake from the front! They look small compared to the 315x70 BFG AT's I took off with 43k miles on them and still have about the same miles left in them. Good thing with the smaller tires I've been getting over 18 mpg on my daily commute and the braking and towing performance have greatly improved. I do find that they ride a little rougher than the BFG's even though both are D rated. Also the Toyo's did great running through some soggy pasture land last week and had good traction on the highway in the heavy rain's we've been getting. I'll see how the wear on these tires will be compared to the BFG's and post the result's later.

Toyos have always have been a good choice whether they're ATs or MTs, you can't go wrong...

I've been wanting to try the smaller tires with my programmer and wow what a difference. Pull's hard now!
