Will Toyo 35" Fit

I always heard 35" toyo wont fi ton my stock 20" wheels. I have 33" Toyo mT's now and it is close to the control arm. I am wanting to go to 35" s. Would have trouble clearing them I had 35" BFG MT in 18" on last year with no problems but I know the toyo is a bigger tire.

Heres the deal. It is really, really close. The problem with the OEM 20's is they have 6.5 inches of backspacing that really tucks the tires in. A 12.50 inch wide tire is so close to the upper control arm/ball joint that the tire actually touches it on some trucks. TIres will large sidewall lugs (like the Toyo MT) are the worse ones about rubbing. The clearance is so tight that apparantly some tires may rub on one truck and not the next. The best thing to do if you want to run 35's on the OEM 20's is to use a narrower tire like a 285/65-20 (35x11.50).

Try to find someone who has them on stock wheels, and hope they live kinda close to you and see if you can do a test fit.

For your reference, the 35-1250R20 Toyo Open Country M/T is actually 13 inches wide.

Some members have used spacers but that's generally a bad idea, especially on trucks that are prone to vibration issues (like 04-08 F-150's).

I assumed he was talking about wheel spacers, not a leveling kit.
