Front End Pop

I don't know if this is where this needs to go but I have a 2008 f150 FX4 with the 5.4L.. Sometimes when I start rolling frontwards I can hear something in the front end pop. It sounds like its coming from the passenger side.

What could this be? Is it just the brakes?

I have had same problem. I too have a AS Level kit. I found that my driver side sway bar end link was broken. I replaced both sides with greaseable moog sway bar end links corrected my problem.

Its when I take off from sitting at a redlight or stop sign. I don't have a leveling kit or any after market tires on it.

I don't have to brake hard to make it happen either. It sounds like its coming from the passenger side.

But it doesn't do it all the time either. It's only done it once in the passed week. And it's done it ever since I had to take the truck to the Ford Dealer cause all 4 tires had flat spots in them when I bought it.

A common source for issues like that is a bad U joint, for an 08 the chance of a U joint failing already seems very low.

I get the same noise. All stock 2008 w/5000 miles. Dealer can't find anything but it hard to describe and it does it only once in a while.
