The best prices I have found online are www.tirerack.com and http://www.discounttiredirect.com/direct/home.do. There is also a place called tread depot that some memebers have said good things about, but last time I checked prices on BFG they were way too high.

Try the Tire Rack. They are a site sponsor here.

Online Tires

Just bought my Toyo Open Country ATs at Online Tire:

http://www.onlinetires.com/

Saved myself $400 from the quote I got from a local Toyo dealer.

Ouch, that seems a bit high, but it looks like they have a single warehouse in CA, so depending on were you live you could come out a lot better.

Regardless thanks for the site info, I will keep them in mind down the road when its time for some new tires.

Wow, they have the 305-65-18 BFG ATs I just bought for $100 less than what I paid. Dang it.

Have you tried you local tire shops? Mine were actually cheaper than some of the bigger tire chains in the area. I ended up getting mine from the smallest shop in town.

I always buy my tires from local shops. I am picky though. I want to double check the tires for flaws and the build date. If they are more than a couple mos old I pass on them. Just me though. Pricewise many retailers will match others too and it is a lot easier to exchange them at a store than at a website.

x2, There is local shop I take all my business to. Once bought a set of BFG KM1 (285/70/17) and walked out the door with mount and balancing + taxes for $803, no other stores locally or online could touch that price.

Yeah it may seem you're getting a good deal online. Until you take them someplace to have them mounted and balanced. Which is usually in the price of the tire if you buy them local.
