Hey guys just wondering if someone could help me out with my front brake pads. Im trying to repalce them but dont know how to take my brakes apart or where to start, Dont have a manual. Just wondering if someone could help me going on vacation tomorow need them fixed!~ mabee some step by step directions on what to do first maby? I dunno i have all the tools my wheels are off right now. Just not sure what to remove first..any help would be greatly appreciated thanks!

 

First go and get a manual at your local parts store. The brakes are not something that you want to tackle and do wrong.

The first thing is to jack the tire off the ground and remove it.

Other than that, i suggest getting a manual and visually looking at the caliper (held on with two bolts) and how the pads sit in the spot.

get a Haynes Manual... they have excellent details and pictures for the repair!

 

It's cake. Just did mine and my Dads 350 brakes pads and rotors.

Just remove the two caliper bolts pull out the pads, use a c clamp to press the caliper pistons back install new pads and test drive.

Set the caliper on something so not to let it hang by the brake lines.
