Rear wheel lockup

Hi,,

What would cause the drivers side rear wheel to lock up? Have been hearing something for last week, kinda like a bird chirping noise from back there have not made the time to pull it and see what is going on. Drove fine, parked it, put it into reverse and it moved then the truck got real sluggish and stopped. Changed to drive and it did the same but the tire had scuff marks like I was dragging the tire. Got back in and it stopped doing it, drove it home and nothing. going to take another vehicle and pull the wheel on wednesday. any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Good possibility you have a problem with your e-brake. The lining have been known to separate from the backing plate and jam up.
