Exclamation New Tires!!!!

i wanted to do a final check on my tire size before i finalize my deal on new tires.

i have a 98 2wd f150 with a 1.5" daystar leveling kit and i want to run 295/75/16's on my stock wheels. These tires are essentially 33.4"x11.6" and my question is will i have any clearance issues or rubbing or has anyone run this type of setup

im ready to get them today but i just wanna make one final check first.

thanks

With only the 1.5" leveling kit I think that will be pushing it, they may rub, what tire are you looking at, so that I can see what sizes are available?

70% will not make much difference, are you getting them at a great deal? Depending on the price you may want to consider a 285/75, its only about an inch difference but I think you will be better off.

Hopefully someone will chime in who has tried that 295/17 combo on a 4x2.

I am only speculating, but I dont know if 1.5 will get you high enough to clear that 33.4 tire.

Any chance you can "try them out" before you buy them?

I can have discount put them on to try then see if they will.
I've found 295/75 for 300 or 285/75 for about the same with similar tread left on both. I may do the 285's then to avoid issues

Smart Man, those will still be stuffed in there pretty tight (but you should be ok), I know you dont want to hear this but there is always the 275 too!!

Well if its any consolation I have 285/75/r16's on the blue truck in my sig. They dont rub at all unless I turn really sharp to the left in reverse and happen to be on an incline. I dont have a leveling kit or anything. Also, the 285's I have on M/T's. Personally, I dont think you will have a problem if you have a leveling kit. I would try them on there, but I think youll be fine.

If you were asking me, then the blue one is 2wd yes. And no suspension upgrades/modifications of any kind and 285's fit perfect.

Good deal, pics not showing up here at work, will look once I get home. Glad to hear they fit, do you think the 295 would have made it?

i had my dad turn the wheel both directions while i was under the truck to see the clearances and theres a chance they would have fit being that they are only .4" wider and .7" taller but im satisfied until these wear out.
it was bad because when i was at discount and they had the truck up in the air and mounted the one side and the tires almost touched the ground it made me want a 3 to 6" kit. but thats for another time.
