17x8 w/5.5" BS= no rubbing!

alright so i found some wheels that are 17x8 they have a 4.5 inch backspacing will these work.

no. Look at PawPaw's truck. It is the same set up I had on my 2006. You have to run 5.5" backspacing on a 8" wheel to get 315/70r17s to work!! On a 9" wheel you need to be somewhere over 6". Then you start getting close to your upper control arm. Look into American Racing wheels. They have quite a few 17x8s with 5.5 backspace and +25 mm offset. That is the perfect rim for that size tire on a leveled truck. But you will still need to trim the front valance, a little.

ok thanks i kind of hope it dont fit. that way it will force my parents to buy me a suspension lift haha

looks like im buying a suspension lift. im thinking about the Rize 8 inch lift. if i get that lift i can use any size 17 inch rim i want correct?
