XD Monster issues

Im having problems with the center covers on my chrome XD Monsters. I got my wheels last August and within a few weeks, all four XD logo stickers started to peel off. I went back to Discount Tire, where I ordered my wheels and tires from and they had KMC Wheel company send out new center covers, free of charge. I didnt get the new center covers till mid January of this year. Now today I noticed one of them is starting to peel again.

Is anybody else having an issue with this?

That sucks. Esecially on the second set. What I would do is contact KMC directly telling them your story as well having the recepts to show both transactions. Try and work a deal with them to get new covers or maybe see if they can comp the price of your rims.

I have the Black Rockstars and the little XD stickers came off within the first week on two of them. I removed the other two to make them all match. I personally think the black rockstars look better without the stickers.

Here is the rockstar before I removed the XD sticker. It is not on the center cap, but on one of the spokes.

I am not sure how the chrome monsters will look, so maybe you can post a picture of the issue.

Good lookin truck man!

Just wondering, what's the specs on your wheels? I know they're 18x9, but what's the offset?

I love the KMC Rockstars. One of my favorite wheels.

And, finally, do they make the Rockstars in a 17 inch size to fit the F150?

I definately dont want to keep asking for new center covers every six months. I tried calling KMC after work today but they were already closed. I'll try and call them tomorrow, they better cooperate, this pisses me off.

As far as peeling them all off and leaving it that way, I'd say no. last time all but one came completely off, it looked horrible. it actually doesnt look that bad on the black Rockstars though. Still, if a company is going to put out a product, it needs to hold up. Heres some pics I took today.

Thanks!!!

My wheels are 18 x 9 with 0 offset and 5" of backspace. According to the KMC XD Series web site, they only come in 18, 20, 22 and 24 inch versions.

On the Black Rockstars, there is a small black square indentation on one of the spokes which is hardly noticable even when the truck is parked.

I agree it will look like something is missing on the Chrome Monsters. I know a lot of members have the Black Monsters and I have not heard any complaints about the stickers. Maybe one of them will chime in here.

Have you thought of super glueing them to the center caps? Maybe if you do it right when they send you new ones, they will last. I considered it for mine, but after taking them all off, I decided it looked good without them. The less chrome and silver on my truck the better.

Your best bet is to contact KMC to see if they have a solution, short of trying to super glue them yourself.

Cool. I gotta find a price on them, see how much they'll cost me. Hopefully I can get a good deal thru a vendor at work.

Mine were $167 each at rimzoneonline.com and that was the best deal I could find after several weeks of looking. If you buy just the rims, the shipping is free. My entire package with tires, wheels, mounting/balancing, spline lugs and shipping was $2076.

I would go ahead and peel one off and send it to patriotdecals.com and have them make me a set and stick those on your wheels. I guarantee that those will not come off.

hivoltage,

Have you had any problems with your Monster stickers or is this just an issue for the Chrome ones?

No issues at all (knocks on wood ) I seem to be ok. Maybe they use a different type of decal on the chrome caps???

I was going to say the same thing as Highvolatage. Have a vinyl decal made, it's not hard at all we've done it in my dad's sign shop for similar things. All I would recommend is havin clear vinyl put on top of the new Vinyl logo if you went through with it for some added protection.
