Where's your full sized spare?

I've been contemplating the idea of mounting my full sized (34.6" bfg km2) spare back in the factory location.

I would obviously have to re route the exhaust (possibly out the side) and maybe bend or cut the bracket opposite of the bumper...

but other than these obstacles... has anybody successfully mounted a "big" tire under their truck, or are there any other creative mounting ideas that you have?

It looks like there will be "minimum" if any clearance between the tire and the differential...

(I do not have the spare yet it is on backorder... i really hope i dont get a flat. otherwise i'd just hoist it up there myself and see.)

Hmm I wonder if it will fit. BTW Discount has the 35x12.5x18 in stock on their ebay store right now, just ordered mine last week from them.

I am glad someone posted this, I was just thinking about it the other day. I have not gone to a bigger tire YET, but when I do my old spare will not cut it. If flat is in rear at best I could take good tire from the front and move to the back, then put the old spare up front and limp home......sounds like a bad idea.....

If I can fit a 35x12.50x18 under the bed, I would just go find an old one that will hold air to get me where I am going, I dont care if its even a match as long as the size is right...

great parkjob and nice clearance lights. I've thought about doing that - but never manned up.

I'd like to see a picture of somebody's under their vehicle and find out what kinda modifications they had to do. I guess nobody wants to share their spare pictures...

I'll give them back. promise!
