Wheel Width

OK I want to run the BFG AT 285/65/18. I've got the stock 18 x 7.5 wheels. The problem is BFG's website says rim width range for this tire is 8-10. So can I cheat this at all, or should I just find something else?

You'll be fine!!
I'm putting on 35 12.50's on my factory 8.5 inch wide rims.
And it says 9 to 11 is best...

If it was a big differance that I wouldn't do but a half inch. NO WORRIES!

Freddy,
Did you go with this tire/rim combo? I'd like to do the same thing but I'm a bit paranoid about plunking down that much cash for a tire that the manufacturer does not recommend on my rim!

Is anyone else out there running with this setup? I'd really like to go with the BFG AT on my stock rims (no lift).

Is there a different size of this tire that would fit better?
