Need some tire advice

So I did some searching and i keep finding mixed feelings on this whole tire pressure thing. I read somewhere that you should run E rated tires at a minimum of 75% of their max pressure. Thats around 48 psi. That seems high to me, but ive never owned an E rated tire before. I have 305/55/20 TG's. Id like to know what you have had good luck with, I dont want to ruin new tires because of the wrong psi.

Since max is 65psi 48 would be ok. Just keep an eye on your wear pattern. If you start to get wear on the outsides more then the inside raise you psi.

It depends upon the max pressure. For a LR E with a max of 65, I would not go below 45. For a LR E with a max of 80, I would not go below 50.
Remember, having a little too much pressure is far better than having too little, assuming you are not over the max. Too little pressure causes heat to build up in the tires and can cause tread separation, excessive tread wear, and blow-outs. Too much just causes excessive tread wear.
