tpms

are the tire pressure monitors universal,,, or are they vehicle specific???

They are on all 07 up F150s, except for the 8200lb GVW I believe. They were used earlier on some other vehicles.

i am actuall asking because my new 09 and my new 10 fusion have them but I want to put on other rims and tires.

Sept 2007 every vehicle made required them. You might want to see if those you speak of are the band type or the valve stem type.

The 09's have the valve stem type. If you take the sensor off the OE wheels, you will just need to get new valve stems, pack of 4, part number 9L3Z-1700-A. If you go with new sensors, you will need the kit of sensor and valve stem, part number 9L3Z-1A189-A. You will need 4 of those. You will also need to retrain the vehicle to which sensors you have. Transmitter is part number 8C2Z-1A203-A.
You can sometimes find any of these on Ebay, or for a little more, order them from Tasca or some other dealer. Not as expensive from Tasca as you might think.
Note these part numbers are only for the F150 as far as I know, but may be the same for the Fusion.
