im running 17x9 rims with 4.75 b.s and 285/70/17 tires with a 3" leveling kit on a 2005 fx4 now but i need new tires and wanted to possibly move up to 35x12.50 with a little trimming will they fit?

 

I had my tires on 17x9" wheels with 5 inches of backspacing and they rubbed slightly even with some minor trimming. Tires are 315x70x17's. I ran them for about 4k miles and put them on some 17x8's with 5 1/2" BS and no more rubbing. The more you stick out in the front with 35's the more chances to rub.

 

I'd go with something smaller. Maybe a 305/65-17 (33x12.50), 295/70-17 (34x12.00) or a 305/70-17 (34x12.50).
