The Pirelli tires on our 2008 Expedition EL are not going to see the winter, so I am thinking of options. The problem is nobody makes an alternate in the 18" we have on our Expy. What would be a good tire (p-metric) that would be quiet, offer good traction, and a softer ride. I looked at BFG Rugged Trails, but the $900 cost turned me off.

 

Are you looking for an all terrian tire? Something like the Bridgestone Dueler would be a good choice.
