Bigger Tires for a stock 2002 KR?

I have a stock 2002 4x4 King Ranch and am in need of new tires. I am running 265/70/17 right now and am wanting to upgrade to a 285/70/17. There looks like there is plenty of room for the 285's but was wondering if they may rub or if I will run into mounting problems from the tire stores? ie. they wont want to put them on? Curious on feed back.

They will fit easily, a few turn's on the torsion bar's and you probably can fit some 295x70x17's.

I agree. You can fit a 315/70-17 (35x12.50) using the oem wheels but they will rub the frame at full steering lock. A slightly smaller tire like a 285/70-17 (33x11.50), 295/70-17 (34x12.00), 305/65-17 (33x12.50) or 305/70-17 (34x12.50) would be a better choice at stock height.
