Vibration 60-70 mph

Ok, so I have recently had quite a bit of work done to my truck an 06 f150 stx 4x4. 35 inch tires, 4.56 gears, alignment, ya know the works. Lately I have been experiencing an intermittent vibration between 60 and 70. I'm pretty confused cuz sometimes its there and sometimes its not. I have tried to isolate what conditions exhist leading up to it and certain characteristics during the vibration. I figure its probably not a balancing issue with the tires cause i just got them mounted. So I got an alignment which was needed but still did not solve the problem. Also, I will add that during the vibration when i turn the wheel slightly left or right sometimes the vibration gets worse and sometimes it gets better. I'm lost any input would be great.

ANYONE???? I'm tryin to figure out the problem here. I am thinking its the tires. I got bigger tires but they were used. My dad drove the truck home to new york from virginia while i recover from my surgery. I could really use some input. My dad isnt exactly what we would call mechanically inclined so I dont want him getting screwed over by the shop up there.

i think it is the tires. my truck is lowered and does the same thing. i am not to worried about mine, but you could always have them rebalanced by another shop.

Thanks for the input, thats pretty much what I was expecting. Just like most people it helps to have a fresh input from people. anymore input is still appreciated.

I am not quite convinced its your tires as you said "sometimes its there sometimes its not". If your tires are not balanced or have some uneven wear since they are used, you should expect some vibrations, but they should be consistent. Since you said sometimes its there sometimes its not, does it ever just go away once its started? Any chance it may be a bearing or some front end issues?

its a bearing or ball joints. sounds more bearing, they were probably starting to fail the 35's just made it more quicker. ahh joys of lifted n big tires eh

well thanks for that input too guys. my dad has the truck right now and he took it to our shop back home and had them look at it. They said that they couldnt find anything wrong with the front end. obviously im down here in virginia at a medical center recovering from surgery so i wasnt exactly there to ask any questions. and your bearing suggestions makes a lot of sense but what i should add is that the truck only has 30k on it and the bigger tires were put on at about 27k and the problem did not exhist beforehand and since I bought the tires used im kinda gonna go with the fact that maybe a couple of the tires are more or less at the true end of their life span. anyway thanks guys i appreciate your input and hope to get some more.

when i had 35in. nitto terra grapplers they could never be balanced. i got them balanced many times but at 60mph exactly the steering wheel would shake pretty violently, so could just be the tires. but my 38's don't shake at all

Can you feel the vibrations in the steering wheel? If not, verify the parking brake is free and not siezed. U-joints should be good to go on your truck as new as it is. My park brake was siezed on the driver rear side and had same problem with vibes until fixed.

28,000 miles? And your clutch packs are gone? doesnt seem realistic.

How hard do you drive your truck. My clutch packs had over 150k on them and i BEAT my truck.

The clutch packs are for the limited slip they are not really that great of a design, but 28,000 is still low mileage.

Well, i have an open diff so clutch packs are not an issue. I just bought brand new hankook mts so we will see if that was the issue. I dont believe its the parking brake i did a search on that previously but i hardly ever use the parking break but just to be sure i engaged the brake put it in drive and the brake held the truck, when i released it the truck would roll so im pretty sure the brake isnt sticking. I could be wrong but im hoping it was just bad tires. ill let you all know on wed whenever i get out of this hospital and back up home to where my truck is at. oh and yes i can feel the vib in the steering wheel as well as the seat.
