Yo, I'm sure this question may have been asked a million times, though I did a search and didn't really see anything on it... so...

I have a 2002 F-150 7700 4x4 - Tire size currently sits @ 245/75-R16. I want to put 285/75-R16's on like another member here did w/ their 7700.

Question I have though before I make the jump is, are stock rims 7.0" or 7.5" wide. Dudes @ TireRack.com seem to think that'll make a difference? Will it make a difference in you all's opinion(s)?

Thanks,
Jerod

The 16's are 7 inches wide and the 17's are 7.5 inches wide. A 285mm wide tire will work perfectly on either wheel.
