Has anyone stepped down from 20" wheels to 18" wheels and regretted it? I am thinking of doing just that with my FX4.



I currently have these, and love the looks, but the price of aftermarket wheels is INSANE once you go above an 18". Also, the extra cost of the tires...I'm thinking that it would be a better investment long-term to drop to the 18". Let me know what you think...

 

I'd just bite the bullet and put some larger 20" tires on the stock wheels, they look better than a lot of the aftermarket ones do. And yes the price of 20's both tires and wheels is crazy!

 

Thats the thing though, I want some aftermarket wheels, but dont want to plop down 12-1400 in wheels. THEN, have to turn around and lay another 1200 down for a decent tire. I have 305/55/20 Terra graps on there now and love how it/they look....

 

I prefer the look of 18s myself, and the wheels and tires are cheaper like you said.
