stock rims

Hey guys, So I have been looking on here for the past few months, and now I NEED new tires and can't seem to find what I'm looking for. So I have a 2007 4x4 with the stock 17" rims. I also have added a 2.5" leveling kit from Pro Comp...I'm looking for the largest tire I can put under there without insane rubbing. I don't really do a lot of 4x4 stuff, but need a bit of extra clearance to get back to the fishing holes...please help a guy out. Thanks a lot

Neil

I think a 315/70/17 would work out good for you.

Right. That is the largest you can fit. They will rub the control arms slightly at full steering lock. Of course you could go with something a little smaller like a 305/70-17 (34x12.50), 305/65-17 (33x12.50) or a 295/70-17 (34x12.00).

BFG AT in 315/70/17s fit perfect. Just a slight clip of the plastic valance below the bumper. I have been running them for over 2 years and they have never rubbed. I am not running stock rims but mine are as close to stock as you can get in an aftermarket rim. Good luck.

I bought my truck with these same tires and same size, my truck has a 2.5 leveling kit and the tires RUBBED LIKE CRAZY! Most of it was on the inner fender well, had to trim the front valance and they did rub the control arms. I took them off as soon as I got the truck and went with factory 20's.

Most everyone here reports that they only rub the control arms when using the OEM wheels and a leveling kit on a 4x4.
