4x4 or 4x2? If it's a 4x4, I'd suggest a 33x12.50 tire and a set of 9 inch wide wheels with 5 to 6 inches of backspacing.

For tires, I'd recommend a quality all terrian radial like the BFG AT KO, Nitto Terra Grappler, Toyo AT, Pro Comp Xtreme AT, Mickey Thompson ATZ or **** Cepek FC II. Whether you want a 17, 18 or 20 inch tire is just a personal choice. I like a lot of the Pro Comp, KMC, Moto Metal, Eagle Alloy, Mickey Thompson and **** Cepek wheels.

negative, very minor trimming on the lowest portion of the front bumper...and the rub issue would have been minimal...im just picky. lol trim took about 2 minutes with a sawzall. you can see it in the picture.

no problem man, if anything the 08 might sit a little higher, i dont know if you have the fx4 or whhat, my 03 sits lower than my 00 did even though same truck and package. i would go wiht the leveling kit either way, makes the truck look perfect.

You can't put 16" wheels on an '08. They won't clear the brake calipers. 17" is the smallest you can go.

The most common wheel size you will see is 18x9 or 20x9 with 33x12.5 tires for a leveled truck in the 2004-2008 year range. A good backspace for the 9" wide wheel is anywhere between 5 and 6 inches. The smaller the backspace, the further they will stick out from under the truck.

The 18s are cheaper than 20s and I think our trucks look better with more tire, but some will disagree. There are a few who run 22s and several who run 17s, but the tire and wheel choices are more limited in these sizes.

Here is one of my favorite looks on a leveled 04-08 truck. The wheels are 20x9 XD Monsters with 5.71" of backspace and 33x12.5 Toyo MTs. Rimzone.com has the package for about $2475 shipped to your door. If you go with the same tire and wheel package in an 18" size, the cost drops to $2075.
