09 F150 XLT - 4x4

Hi all,

I have a REALLY weird issue I'm experiencing (or maybe it's normal?). I'll explain more below:

When I first bought my 09 F150, while driving down a flat straight road, even though I was going in a straight line on a flat surface, instead of the steering wheel being perfectly horizontal, it seemed to want to be slightly edge to the left (almost like it's out of alignment).

The dealer advised that due to the large tires, the wheel adjusts to the road, and it's completely normal.

Is that the same for you all? Does your steering wheel appear to VERY slightly edge to the left even though you're going in a straight line?

-----------

I had a car that was incorrectly aligned, the dumb mechanic aligned the tires while the steering wheel was still turned all the way to the left. When I got the car, I was like WTF!!!! It kind of feels like that, but obviously not as bad

Thanks all!

Can't say mine does that.

definitely not. My logo is exactly horizontal when going down a straight section of road. Now when I had 38's on another truck, my big tires did follow the grooves in the road but they where like 3" deep grooves from rigs and things. AND the front end was wore out which I expected had alot to do with it.

It's possible that it got aligned with the wheel slightly turned, or you might have to pull it slightly to the left while going straight on most roads to compensate for the gradual slant to the right in the pavement.

Yep, the steering wheel is not aligned correctly. Tells you a little about your dealer that they shot you a line of BS like that.

Sounds like you need to visit another dealer. If they give you a BS story over something so simple, what do you think they'll do when you really have an issue.
