Tire Differences?

Is there a difference in the height of a 315 70 17 and a 35 12.50 17. If so is it only a half inch. And would i have more rubbing with a 35 if its taller on a leveled 2007 F150 on stock 17s.

They are the same size. However, there is always gonna be a slight difference in height/width between different tire manufacturers even if both are labeled the same size.

Technically they are .5" shorter than 35's, but when I bought my 315/70/17's from 4Wheel Parts, they put it next to an identical make and model tire but was 35x12.50x17 on the sidewall. There was a very slight difference, but not much at all, and not enough to notice unless you got right up close.

I ended up w/ the 315's because my speedo was already calculated for it and they were actually a little cheaper than the 35's too for some odd reason.

Tire manufacturers always round sizes up to the next whole number. You will find most 35x12.50's are around 34 1/2 or 34 3/4 inches tall.
