Rim Width

Hey guys I put a set of 285R65R18 tires on a new set of rims, rims are as follows 18 x 9 moto metal black beauty rims with a -24mm off set. The tires came off the stock rims I think 18 x 7. I now have a vibration in the front end that I never had before. One guy recommended that the tires that have approx 10000 km's on them have worn in for the old rims and now the vibration will be there until they wear in for the new rims, does this make sense to anyone. Thanks.

Your old rims were 18x7.5. Vibration means 2 things. Either it has not been balanced properly, or something is out of round, and it could be the new rim. Take it to a place that can do road force balancing. That will give you the correct answer.
