Thinking about 17in 'Raton' wheel on 285 BFG KOs

Anybody have any experiance or opinions on the DESERT RAT 'Raton' machined aluminium wheels? Fit? Backspacing? 'Tire Air Pressure Sensors'. (Any wisdom on those damn things)?

I've also about set my mind on a set of five 285/70R17 BFG KOs as a tire upgrade. Any opinions on that tire? Mileage? Noise? Traction on different surfaces? I've heard they are a high mileage tire that is 'good' on everything, but not 'great' on anything. Agree - Disagree?

How about mailorder buying 'Tire / Wheel Combos' from DESERT RAT? Anybody have some feedback on that outlet?

As for need, I do my off-roading as gentle as possible, but I take my truck where I want to go (don't whip your horse unless you really have to), and I carry occational cargo and moderate loads of firewood, keeping it under max GVW.

The BFG AT KO's are one of the best all terrian tires available. They perform great in every condition except mud and they perform better than most AT's there.

Praise for the BFG AT KOs

Thanks for the input Wandell-

Do you have any wisdom to share on 'Back Spacing' and 'Tire Pressure Sensors' on aftermarket rims?

The TPMS mounts with bands. If you want to move them to the new wheels, you need to buy new bands. Most tire shops have them much cheaper than the dealers.
As for bs, I'd suggest a 9 inch wide wheel with 5 to 6 inches of bs.
