Rotors and pads

Well, it's time to do it. I have searched and searched and got lots of hits from lots of dates so let's try to get it all in one place with current info.

1) What's a good slotted or slotted and dimpled rotor and good low dust pads?
2) Where is a good site to get it all from?

I know about rotorpros.com but never found it very helpful. It comes up as another search with hits from the net. I can do that with Google, Yahoo you name it. What's the deal with them?

Thanks!

I've never had luck in the past with various sports cars with slotted, dimpled, drilled, etc so I just stick with the blanks myself.

I went to AutoZone and got the Duralast rotors and Duralast Gold C-Max pads to just replace the front brakes. I spent under $175 bucks and they work perfect. They don't dust, don't make noise, and stop great. I'm sure there are others out there that may work better or look better, but these work more than well enough for me.

I've checked all the obvious places including Tire Rack and Power Slots, and all seem to be around $600-$800 for pads and rotors, all four corners. I saw some black EBC rotors on Extreme 4x4 last weekend that looked Really! cool.

Well I've done a decent amount of racing, with lots of wear and tear on brakes, and for the money it seems like the Powerslots (I ran Cryo's) hold up extremely well. Especially when coupled with the Hawk pads (HPS, LTS, Ceramic)..

I just ordered Powerslots for all four wheels (front two Cryo) and Hawk LTS pads. It was $640 at Auto Anything, shipped. Not too bad of a price for a whole new brake system.

I have done this same swap in other vehicles and the results were incredible, so I imagine this will be the same. But I will report back anyways with results if you would like.

BTW Auto Anything keeps having sales, so keep an eye on them.
