I did the 2.5 AS at home. I do have air tools but hand tools are fine. Take your time. You will need a good 2 1/2 ton floor jack and some jack stands. Pick up some liquid wrench to make it go a little smoother.

did my 2.5AS myself. Wasnt to bad. If I did it again, i would rent a spring compressor and knock off about an hour or two of time.

I did it myself here at home. Only help was from my 6 year old son. If I can do it so can you. Simple hand tools, jack stands, floor jack, pitman arm puller. All the tools needed are listed in the write up above. Print it out and follow it exactly. Just make sure you have all the tools before you get started. Don't ask me how I know that.

You're in Beaumont? Too bad you're not here in San Antonio, I would offer to help you out.

I also did mine at home. As others have said - it's an easy job if you have the tools.

I would just note that you don't need the pitman arm puller if you don't have it. I bought one and it wouldn't fit, so I just used a BFH (Big f@%# Hammer) to free it up and returned the puller. I probably smacked it a half dozen times and it freed up.

It's only a couple hour job. Nothing complicated about it.

Another one here that did it myself, 2.5". I did it with basic hand tools and without removing the lower bolt for the shock.
