brake squeak

I have a 01 F150 Screw. I recently changed my front brake pads a couple of months ago. I put plenty of brake grease on the back of the pads when I installed them. i noticed today that I still get a brake squeak when I stop sometimes. Is there anything I can do to eliminate this noise? It's kind of annoying.

Did you use cheap pads? I changed my front not long ago and used cheapies. I regretted it. They sqeaked quite a bit. I put Wagner Thermo-Quiets on couple weeks ago after reading these great forums. I couldn't be happier. Not a peep. I just put rears on yesterday. I heard they also produce less brake dust than stocks.

sometimes the rotors dont get machined the full width of the pads causing a squeak . take off the caliper and look closly at the pads. my truck just got brakes and squeak because someone didnt pay close attention.

A little non-directional scuff should cure that.
