Im looking for advice on a wheel purchase that i've been wanting to make. I have a mostly stock 05 4x2 sup cab. that I want to put 20" Shelby Razors on, there are 17" on it now. Ive heard that going up that much would adversly affect the brakes, trnsmission and other various componets. Do I have anything to worry about or can my truck handle 20" wheels.

 

Here are some factors that may be effected:
1. Your payload will go down slightly.
2. The price of tires will go up slightly.
3. Your ride may be a little bumpier due to less sidewall on the tires(assuming you staying with the same diameter tire).

That's the only things I can come up with anyway.

 

I agree. Although personally, I'd go with 22's.
