Please help...Wheels clearing the spindles???

I was on the phone w/ a guy from Discount Tire and he was giving me a quote on a set of new wheels. After he found what I was looking for (and beat everyones prices), he asked me to call or ask someone to make sure that the wheels will "clear" the spindles. He said, "check and make sure first before you order, since your angles will be different after installing the AS kit." Don't ask me why he wouldn't know this.

I have an 06 F-150 4x4 with a 2.5 AS kit. The wheels that I/we need to know that will clear the spindles are the Ballistic Jester's. Please see specs below.

Size: 17 x 9
Bolt Circle: 6x135 (5.31)
Offset: +12
Back space: 5.47

Thanks for all your help!

First I've ever heard of this. The only clearance problem I've heard of is some aftermarket 17's not fitting over the brakes on late production 2005 and newer trucks. The leveling kit will not cause any wheel fitment problems.

Tell him he is dumb and order the wheels. The backside of that wheel really shouldn't be any different than stock, since stock wheels have 5.5" of backspacing.

Keep in mind though, that the backspacing won't work on most of the actual lift kits, if you plan on one down the road.

Thank you both, that's what I assumed, but I just wanted to make sure. I figured if if hadn't come up on the forum before, than it obviously wasn't an issue. Anyways, the wheels will be ordered on Monday when they open up !

I'm excited to completely change the look of my bright red truck. Here's the complete list, I'll think it's going to look sharp!

2.5 AS (installed), Ballistic wheels (black/red), Roush grille (painted black, already installed), black headlights (in the mail), Powder coated satin black bumpers (end of Jan.), black tool box (installed), tint the front windows (soon).
