I got a price quote of $600 out the door mount and balance on some hercules A/T's. I've never heard of the tire, but all the reviews I've read on the net makes them seem pretty good. A lot of people like the hercules tires.

Anyone have any experience with them?

i run the General Grabber AT2s.. they are 265/70/17 and ran me 115 a piece. I have put over 2000k on them, they are great. Look like brand new, are quiet and I have been off road in moderate mud, been in deep snow, been on ice, been on gravel covered in snow/ice. They perform extremely well. I have pics at home of them on my truck and will post them if your interested.

Oh and price.. It was 115 x 4 + 35 to ship (treadepot) then it was 98 and change at walmart to mount and balance. This also included road hazard. since walmart sells general they gave me road hazard for like 9 er 10 a piece, have to look at receipt (also in truck) It all ended up being 600ish, then I got them aligned but that's because it needed it, not a necessity. (also noticed it went up $5 per tire on treadepot)

take a look at Firestond Destination AT's they have some good reviews. Not so sure on mileage or price.

You would be happy with the BFG's

BFG AT Estimate was about 1200, so scratch those..

Gona go with the General Grabber AT2 if I can find them

But to check first, 265/70R17 will fit when I was running 255/65/17 before? I heard that It will affect my gas mileage by about .4mpg. True or false on that also, thanks!

If "cheap" is what you want, I would also give the Kumho Road Venture AT KL78 a serious look. Similar in price to the Generals.
