Cahnge rim size

I have a 1999 Expedition 4x4 with 17's I would like to change to a 285 70 16 on a 16x10. Will this work or will I have problems?

Yes, they will fit. I think you made a typo on your tire size though. You can fit a 285/75-16 (33x11.50) or a 305/70-16 (33x12.50) by using a 16x10 inch wheel with 4.5 inches of backspacing. You will have to trim some plastic off the front bumper's lower valance for clearance because of the 10 inch wide wheels. I'd also suggest you crank up the torison bars enough to level your Expy. This will give you a little extra clearance and make the truck look better.

Thanks for the suggestion. When I called a tire place they told me I could not do put a 16 because I have stock 17" rims. When I saw one of your posts you said you had some pictures and you could click on the camera. Well I'm new at this and I am having trouble finding your pictures.

The tire place gave you some misinformation. Thousands of 97-02 Expy owners have switched from 17's to 16's.
Your not the only one that can't find my gallary. They renovated the gallaries and I can't even find it.
