center caps for eagle alloys series 102-rant

I currently have a set of eagle series 102s on my truck and I lost a center cap a few months back. The trouble that I'm having is I have ordered 2 sets of center caps and neither set fits my wheels I have called eagle numerous times and they swear that the caps that they sent fit-I have tried each set TWICE now and they DO NOT FIT! I purchased the wheels form my uncle who had them on a 98 x-cab 4x4 and my truck is a 02 screw 4x4. What Im wondering is if they still make the wheels then why would the replacement center caps not fit My wheels were made in 2003 and they STILL make this style of wheel so why would the new center caps not fit!!! Its frustrating that I may have to purchse another set of wheels just to have a dang center cap!! Buywheelstoday.com has the American Racing baja in a 5x135mm in a 16x8 for $82 apiece!! Has anyone had any trouble w/ the center caps on these wheels{replacements not fitting right etc.} Please help!! I really dont want to buy new wheels but if I have to I will!!!

Mine never fit tight. I cured the problem by placing a dab of clear silicone on each one of the mounting tabs and "glued" them in place. I've lost one cap over the years.

Wandell - that sounds like a great idea! I have a couple of questions though-since i live in a state where it can get pretty cold{it was only 18 degrees today} would silicone shrink or not adhere due to the cold? also what would you do if you had to rebalance the wheels when rotating the tires installing new tires etc? thanks for your help!!

I don't think the tempatures would affect the silicone. Personaly, whenever I take the truck in to have the tires rotated, I pull the center caps off and "glue" them back on again after I pick up the truck. The one time I didn't do this is when I lost a centercap.
