What is the load rating and max psi cold. Can't give you any information without that info.

I've always had good luck with 40 psi for daily driving.

Those I would run at 45. If you decide to go lower, don't go lower than 40 and if you do any towing or carrying of loads, bump it up. 45 should be good enough for just about anything.

just out of curiosity, why around 40-45 psi when max states 65. being the newb i am, id consider 60 cuz it seems more reasonable/logical to me. id think anything lower than 60 is considered underflated and would cause uneven wear. could you guys explain how you guys come up with the numbers? please dont get me wrong. i took wandell's advice before and my old tires wore perfectly and had even traction.

Your tire is rated at 3195 at 65psi. Your truck is rated at less than 4k per axle, or less than 2k per tire. 45 should give you the ability to carry that 2k+ and not wear the center of the tread due to over-inflation. At 60, your tire will basically be sitting on just the center section of the tread, especially when unloaded.

To give another example, on my truck, I use load range C tires that handle around 2400lbs per tire at 50 psi. I use 40 to get the proper inflation for the vehicle. If I used 50, all i would do is give it an extra harsh ride, have less tread on the pavement, which will cause problems, especially in wet, and wear the tire too quick.

I should have mentioned before. It is ALWAYS better to over inflate (up to the tire max pressure) than under inflate. Over will cause excessive tire wear in the center of the tread. Under will cause excessive wear on the 2 sides of the tread and may cause over heating of the tire at highway speeds, causing possible blowouts and tread separation.
