Backspacing

Could someone please explain backspacing to me? Does more backspacing make the wheel stick out more or less from the truck? Also what is optimum backspacing for these trucks.

More backspacing puts the wheel closer to the vehicle. Around 5.5" is factory on our trucks. So if you went with the same backspacing but got a 9" rim it would stick out 1.5" more because the factory wheels are only 7.5" wide. I hope that helps.

I agree. Stay close to the oem bs of 5.5 inches unless you are going with a large street style wheel in which case you will want more bs. My 22x9.5's have 6.7 inches of bs.
