Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armors?

I'm looking at getting some new 285's after christmas and I've been looking at either the Nitto Terra Grapplers or Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armors. the GY have a 50k mile warranty and seem to be a pretty good tire. But the Nittos also seem to be a good tire? I haven't seem to many people talking about or running the Goodyears but quite a few people run the Nittos and like them. Any thoughts or recommendations? Thanks!

Can't go wrong with either, I have and love the GY silent armors and they've been great. I wish they came in 305/70/17, but my 285's look great. Love'n the tires for now though. See my gallery for pics.

The Nitto's have a great reputation but the Goodyear Silent Armor series is getting good reviews also.

The Nittos are a less expensive copy cat of the Toyo Open Country's, they're both basically made by the same factory. However, the Nitto's are a softer compound and probably won't last you as long. Try looking into the Toyo's, they have harder compound and will last you 50K+.

I have been running the GY for about 10k. I love the tire, the preform well in the snow and mud. I have taken my truck off road for hunting and had to cross a washed out section of dirt road. They had great traction and have very little signs of wear. I would definitely get the GY but both are good and I am sure you will be happy with either set.

I like Good Year when i had them on my truck. But consider Hankook. A set came OEM, and now I have 35" Hankook. They ride great. I was out in the West Coast storm today. I'm not kidding when I tell you that I was impressed by their traction. I didn't even have to put on the Go-Claws.
