$650 for set of terra 305/55/20

that's how much i paid the guy. he originally wanted $800, but found out that 3 were actually used while one is brand new (even had the sticker on it). compared to the new one, the 3 used tires have about 3/4 of its original tread left. ill try take a picture later with the penny method. is this good deal? how much mileage should i expect out of these tires (assuming no damage is present)? should i buy 1 new to match the other one? thanks!

$380 per tire? Maybe MT's not AT's. The TG in that size are probable around $275-300 each new. So its still a pretty good deal. Maybe just buy one new one so you have even wear with the other new one and throw one of the three worn ones on your spare.

Your right they are around $280 per tire at most places but if you look here
http://www.wheelsnext.com/tires/NITT...0GRAPPLER.html
they have them for $388 per tire which is a big difference, that would suck to realize you paid $100 more per tire but you were right ZEEKA, with some more research most places are $280ish per tire!

I got 4- 305-55-20 nitto TG's mounted and balance for a $1,000 at a local tire shop in town. This is my second set. My first set i was not happy with at all. They wore very fast. But i got a good deal so i decided to give it one more shot and hopefully these are better.

yeah but part of living in hawaii is added cost to everything (mainly due to shipping cost). ive quoted around and most local stores sell for 300-350 for the terras. cant wait to mount them, but even then im still waiting for the bilteins to come in.
