2000 Ford F150 4X2 OEM Tires-P235/70/R16. I'm currently looking at some Nitto Terra Grapplers in a 265/70/16. How will they fit if it is wider that my oem rims, and will I rub?

At WOT will I be able to get traction, and how much will a bigger tire slow me down?

 

265/70-16 should fit on a 2wd with no rubbing with the stock rims. It might be pretty close to rubbing the frame at full lock though. That's a 31" tire compared to your current 29" tire...should be about a 4-5mph difference on the speedo.

How it affects your power depends on your engine and gears. If you've got at least a 4.6 with 3.55 gears it'll be no problem...either a V6, 3.31 or taller gears might make for a more noticeable power drop.

 

I have the 5.4 with 3.31. But how does my current long trail fit the width of the rim and a wider (as in wider across the tread) nitto tire does too?
