open country vs. terra grapplers

Hey yall

Just looking for pros and cons for Nitto Terra Grapplers and Toyo Open Country A/T. I need a good balance of off road performance and on road wear. Any input would be appreciated.

Toyo is the parent company of Nitto. The Terra Grappler and Toyo AT are almost identical and are enven manufacturered in the same plant and perform almost identically. Both are excellent tires. Just go with the one you can get the best price on or you think looks the best.

Interesting point Wandell. If you had to point out a difference between the two what would it be?

I have heard many people say the toyos wear better and might have a slightly stiffer compound making them last longer. I have had neither, but just what I have repeatedly heard.

Both are great tires, but the Nitto's sidewall look's a little better to me . I have a set of the Toyo AT's that perform well but I like my BFG AT's a little better.

I ran the Toyo's for almost 30K miles going through about 35-40% of the tread. They wear quite well...
